Pei Yansi frowned when he saw her protectively shielding the child from him, feeling unsatisfied in his heart.

He recalled in his mind.

This child… her name is Yuexue, right?

He looked at Yuexue, that face which was so similar to his own, he hadn’t expected that even as a daughter, she would turn out to be so remarkable.

Her big, sparkling eyes had inherited his phoenix-like shape, a trait that naturally exudes a cool aloofness, but it wasn’t obvious since she was just a child, and her skin was as pale as his.

She was like a delicate porcelain doll, plump and chubby, utterly adorable… just looking at her made one feel affectionate.

He tentatively called out, “Yuexue?”

Shen Yueyue could feel that the moment her mother saw this man, her mood became very tense and slightly fearful. She instinctively felt that this man must have bullied her mother!

“It’s none of your business,” Shen Heyu replied indifferently, hugging Yuexue tightly and walking around him, trying to leave.

Pei Yansi’s gaze hardened as he stared at her, intending to run away while holding a child that looked so much like him?

He strode forward to follow them, not laying a hand on her. With her holding the child, they appeared to be a sweet family of three, especially since they all had high attractiveness. As they moved amongst the crowd, they drew many gazes, and even several passersby started taking photos with their phones.

Shen Heyu covered Yuexue’s face, not wanting her to be photographed so young and be affected, but as the crowd grew, it was inevitable that she couldn’t completely avoid being captured.

After a while, she couldn’t bear it any longer, turned her head, and glared fiercely at Pei Yansi: “Mr. Pei, what on earth do you want to do!”

Pei Yansi saw that she had been holding Yuexue for so long that her face was somewhat red, thinking she was tired, but in fact, it was because she was furious!

He reached out to hold Yuexue, saying, “Give me the child.” Looking at such a tender girl, he too wanted to hold her.

By now, he was certain Yuexue was his daughter!

When Lu Yunlan saw them approaching, she stepped out of the car, took Yuexue into her arms excitedly, and said, “My dear Yuexue, I’ve missed you so much!”

Yuexue giggled in her embrace, “I missed you too, Aunt Lan!”

Lu Yunlan first took Yuexue to the back seat, next to Aunt Ning.

As she turned around again, Pei Yansi had already followed them out.

Lu Yunlan paused, then asked Shen Heyu in a voice only the two of them could hear, “What’s going on? Why did he follow you?”

Shen Heyu frowned, “It’s a long story, let’s go first.”

With that, she moved to get into the car.

Yuexue was stopped from getting out of the car, so she could only watch the scene outside with frustration.
